Freshly baked breakfast snacks, amazing coffee, matcha, fresh juice and extraordinary atmosphere in the old town of Rethymno. Beautiful view down an old alleyway with beautiful bougenvillea. 10 out of 5 Stars! Best brekki place on Crete.
“If you’re a coffee lover, you’ll know it’s not easy to find a really good one in Crete. For a guaranteed great cup, head to Skik. I went for the cappuccino—smooth, delicious, and perfectly balanced and a top mozzarella sandwich
When you’re too picky about coffee and don’t expect to find a good spot in Crete… and then, by accident, you discover Skrik. The coffee was so good, it made my day! Thank you for understanding what good coffee should taste like. By the way, the music was really cool, and the whole vibe there was amazing.
I didn’t eat, I took a coffee, a Greek coffee €2 and for the centre of Rethymno it is not over inflated tourist prices. Fresh ground coffees and a good selection of teas. Down to earth, mellow music, chill, good service. Clean toilets. Don’t serve water with the coffee, you buy it separate and it’s self service so don’t sit and think someone is coming to you. Currently closes 9pm, has alcohol too and some small bites (toasts, pies)
A very nice spot for coffee. During our stay, we visited Skrik almost everyday. Coffee was by far of the best coffee we tried in Rethymno.
One of the greatest coffee places in Rethymno. They make good flat white and V60! UPDATE We visited a few other places in Rethymno, and Skrik is the best place to try a coffee. Just don’t try to look for another place and go there
We are always looking for specialty coffee spaces in the places we go. This is one we visited twice when we were in Rethymno. The place looks nice and the coffee is good. Plus they are serving it from glasses or cups if you drink it there. The service is ok, but we saw that, compared to our specialty coffee spaces (where the people are often very open and friendly), in here they are more unsmiling...Anyway, a nice stop.
As a true matcha lover, I can say they serve real matcha here—honestly the best I’ve had in Crete. If you’re looking for authentic, high-quality matcha, this is the place to try. You won’t regret it!
